Midsouth Covenant pastors, staff and spouses gathered for a few days of rest and replenishment at our 2012 Fall Retreat on October 23-25. It’s one of the few annual opportunities we have to get together for friendship, fun, learning, recreation, worship, idea sharing, etc.

Retreat Speaker:  We were delighted and honored to welcome Dr. Haddon Robinson as our guest preacher and teacher for our retreat. Dr. Robinson’s accomplishments and influence are legendary. He has served as the president of Denver Seminary and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has served a Distinguished Professor of Preaching at Dallas, Denver and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminaries. He is the author is many influential books, most notably Biblical Preaching, which is the standard preaching textbook at more than 125 seminaries and colleges around the world. Dr. Robinson was named by Newsweek magazine as one of the 12 most effective preachers in the English-speaking world. Dr. Robinson continues as the co-host of RBC ministries radio show, “Discover the Word.”  Haddon is a remarkable preacher, a distinguished leader and a great friend. One of the ways we can all grow as leaders and as communicators is to learn from great men and women. Haddon is one such leader.
