Pray for the Midsouth CampJuly 27

Do you remember the special times you had at camp as a child? How much closer you felt to the Lord? Please set time aside to lift up the 2010 Midsouth Camp that takes place August 8 – 14th. We want all the children coming to know Jesus in a deeper way and enjoy themselves in God’s wonderful creation. Many of the campers are new Believers and this week will help them grow in their faith. Pray for the safety of all the campers, development of their faith, and meaningful relationships with other children in the Midsouth Conference. We can’t wait to hear about the amazing stories of the campers!

Get the Bible on your Phone!May 26

LifeChurch.tv is humbled by what God is doing through their online and mobile Bible, YouVersion.com (www.youversion.com). More than 4 million people have downloaded the mobile version, giving them a Bible that’s as close as their phone. Those users have spent more than 1 billion minutes reading Scripture on their phone, and it looks like they’ll be passing 2 billion minutes very soon. The mobile Bible app is available on nearly every mobile platform, including iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, as well as all web-enabled phones.

YouVersion features 41 translations, 22 languages, and more than 20 reading plans.

In addition to the online and mobile Bible, YouVersion offers a way for people to interact with live events like church services on their phone. YouVersion Live is free, and allows churches to share sermon outlines, Bible references, questions for live feedback, space to submit prayer, giving opportunities, and more.

Join ‘One Prayer 2010′ EventMay 12

LifeChurch.tv is excited to be kicking off the third year of a global event: One Prayer 2010. Once again, churches around the world will be teaming up to share resources, serve their communities, and give to a meaningful cause.

When we launched One Prayer in 2008, we had no idea what to expect. What we planned was four churches sharing teaching messages for a month. Very quickly, God took that seed of an idea and grew it to 1,800 churches around the globe, partnering in many ways, including an initiative that planted more than 1,600 churches over two years. Those churches call themselves “One Prayer Churches” and are making a lasting difference in areas of the world where it’s extremely difficult to spread the Gospel.

We’d love to have your church take part in One Prayer this June. Details are still developing, but you can register at www.oneprayer.com today. It’s an incredible opportunity to stand in unity with other churches and share the message of Jesus with the world.

Recovery Phase Begins in HaitiApril 28

The earthquake in Haiti on January 12 was one of the worst disasters of our time. ECC churches and individuals have donated over one million dollars to Covenant World Relief for relief, recovery, and long-term development in the most affected areas. We are thankful for your generous support.

The transition from emergency relief to recovery has started in some areas. The recovery phase will likely last at least two years and will be followed by long-term development. CWR will be involved in Haiti for the long haul, working together with our partners.
