The 2010 Midsouth Conference Annual Meeting was held April 16-17, 2010 at Life Covenant Church in Edmond, OK.  Known for their innovation and evangelistic leadership, Pastor Craig Groeschel and Life Church provided a welcoming venue for this year’s Annual Meeting.  Aligning with the Evangelical Covenant Church, the theme for the 2010 Midsouth Annual Meeting was “Celebrating New Life in Christ.” A record number of pastors, delegates and friends attended this year’s annual meeting.  We were delighted to welcome Dr. Leighton Ford, internationally-known evangelist, Christian leader and Honorary Chair of the Lausanne Committee on World Evangelization, as our special guest.  Dr. Ford led a seminar for Midsouth pastors on Friday afternoon, then spoke at the evening Worship Celebration on Friday evening.  Rev. Peter Sung, Director of Church Planting for the ECC, led a gathering  for Midsouth church planters on Friday morning.   Special mention was given to Rev. Josef Rasheed (Crossroads Covenant Church), who is transferring his ordination to the ECC and to Access Covenant Church (Rev. Ted Law), who will be joining the Covenant at this year’s 2010 Covenant Annual Meeting in St. Paul, MN. On Saturday we started the morning with the Lord’s Supper and ended the morning with a prayer meeting.  In between Midsouth Board Chair Phil Mallory  led the Business Meeting that celebrated the works of God among Midsouth Covenant churches.  It was One Great Weekend…
